Why do I want you?
Why do I suffer until my lips press yours?
Why is your softness a salve against pain
Against turmoil, against the physical pull of earth?

Why do I still need you?
Why am I lost inside your unknowable strength?
Why is your shimmering world fluid and alive with power,
And with me inside it, gone in a bubble of desire?

Why has love struck such a wound,
So perceptible in its open rawness
Where its hunger punishes for your existence
And craves for it, in me, without resistance?
